Meet the Captain

Captain Daniel is a United States Coast Guard (USCG) licensed captain who has logged thousands of hours navigating the waterways of Maryland and Virginia. He is a life-long outdoor and marine enthusiast, avid fisherman, and someone that truly loves his daily pursuit - showing others exactly why he chooses Southern Maryland as his preferred playground of choice.

Having grown up in West Michigan, Daniel could usually be found somewhere in Michigan's outdoors, whether in a river, on a lake or deep in the woods, family and friends knew that's likely where they'd find him. Moving to Maryland in1999, Captain Daniel quickly took to the new outdoor canvas of Maryland. Outdoor exploration, salt and brackish water fishing, crabbing, outdoor photography and exploring the vast new water quickly consumed his free time.

The captain, some would say, also has a rather unique connection to the Chesapeake Bay. Aside from the countless hours logged behind the helm, he's also completed the annual

'Great Chesapeake Bay 4.4 Mile Swim' 10 times.
